Catharis Philosophy
Catharsis is an independent video game development group based in the state of Maryland. Formed in 2011, our goal is to create unique and original games that conjure the powerful soul of the aesthetics of gaming. More specifically and less poetically, our goal is show that video games are indeed a form of art. By producing unique and creative computer-based works that invoke this spirit, we hope to truly show the artistic potential of the video gaming media, because we believe that our products should be more than just temporary means to cure boredom - we believe that gaming is a medium with the potential to carry beauty.

The Minds Behind Catharsis
Catharsis was formed over the course of a couple days. It started with a conversation Sean and Mo had on a Metro ride in transit from the District of Columbia to Maryland. Very shortly after, the talents of Andrew were sought. The first meeting of the group took place in a local pizza parlor, and thus Catharsis was born.
